Neal White is an artist, Director of Office of Experiments and Associate Professor at The Media School, Bournemouth University. Based in London, White's work with the Office of Experiments (OOE- founded 2004) considers art within the expanded field, that is set in the context of its making - from scientific laboratories to urban public space or in concealed spaces. With an interest in the experimental and working with new geo-spatial technologies, Office of Experiments extends its research through visual and experimental geography, as well as social and spatial interventions. It is concerned with the legibility of power, examining patterns and spaces shaped by the infrastructure of the techno-scientific and military-industrial complex across territories and nation states.

Led by White, Office of Experiments has undertaken commissions in Washington DC and Germany, research at the Centre for Land Use Interpretation, USA and with Arts Catalyst UK. White has collaborated with artists and writers, academics and architects, from N55 (DK) to John Latham (UK). He recently co-curated Dark Places at John Hansard Gallery (UK) and has exhibited Internationally with OOE at Apexart- New York (2010), FACT- Liverpool (2008) and within other contexts as an artist at Natural History Museum, London (2003) and Moderna Museet, Stockholm (1998). He was a founder of Soda (1997-02), and a Director of O+I, from 2007-9 (formerly Artist Placement Group). His work has been funded through numerous awards from Arts Council, Henry Moore Foundation, Heritage Lottery Fund and the Gulbenkian Foundation.
